Excision of Lymph Nodes
Lymph node excision is the surgical removal of lymph nodes in order to assess the spread of cancer.
Tracheostomy
A Tracheostomy is a surgical procedure to create an opening through the neck into the trachea (windpipe). A tube is usually placed through this opening to provide an airway and to remove secretions from the lungs. This tube is called a tracheostomy tube or trach tube.
Thyroidectomy
Thyroidectomy (surgery to remove all or part of the thyroid) may be required for patients with hyperthyroidism, goiter, thyroid nodules or thyroid cancer.
Parathyroidectomy
Parathyroidectomy is surgery to remove the parathyroid glands or parathyroid tumors. the parathyroid glands are right behind your thyroid gland in your neck. These glands help your body control calcium levels in the blood
